All business-relevant information is available in real time at the right place and can be edited immediately and online by the employee in the branch store. The potential of this solution is enormous: Merely supplemented by a Java-implemented mobile-specific graphic user interface, the mobile units provide the same functions as they are provided on a PC system.
GK/Retail Mobile can be used separately or in interaction with other GK/Retail solutions such as POS, Taskmanagement or Merchandise Management. At that, all needed mobile functionalities are provided on standard units with standard operating systems.
Ability to Work Online and Offline
With Wireless LAN, the mobile units can access background systems at high speed. Thanks to innovative Internet technology, it does not play a role whether processes are realized locally in the branch store or online on a central system. Because a 100% availability of WLAN links is not given, GK/Retail Mobile was designed for the ability to completely work in the offline mode too. For that purpose, all needed data are kept available on the mobile terminals. On a reconnection of the link, the data are automatically synchronized with the server system.
