Telekom Shops score with GK/Retail

Market-Leading branch store solution made by GK SOFTWARE AG guarantees optimal interaction of all branch store processes with SAP Retail in the Telekom Shops

Schöneck / October 1, 2007 - At present, the T-Punkt Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH causes its more than 700 branch stores in Germany to be outfitted with the GK/Retail branch store solution. By the end of 2007, the solution package tailored to T-Punkt will be productive in all German branch stores.

By the end of this year, the T-Punkt Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH will roll out GK SOFTWARE AG's GK/Retail branch store solution in its about 700 Telekom shops in Germany. Objectives of the GK/Retail introduction are the flexibilisation of the selling processes at the POS and the smooth online data exchange with the SAP system. At that, the seamless integration with the SAP system and the online data exchange are ensured through the GK/Retail StoreWeaver integration platform.

For the Telekom shops, some specific business processes had to be realised. First of all, this includes the bundle security on which there is ensured by means of online query that subsidized mobile phones can be sold with a valid contract only. Another important process - not only in the Telko environment - consists in the sale of prepaid credits. Therefore, GK/Retail supports Cash&Go, the online top-up procedure for the prepaid cards of the various mobile radio providers directly on the cash registers in the Telekom shops. With the support of Happy Digits, one of the most important German loyalty programs was integrated into GK/Retail.
The rollout for the new solution in the Telekom shops started at the beginning of September.

Rainer Gläß as Chief Executive Officer of GK SOFTWARE AG says: "T-Punkt's decision for GK/Retail is the acknowledgment of our long-term enterprise strategy to develop a rapidly applicable standard solution that integrates all processes in the store. In the last years, for example, Tchibo, dm drogerie-Markt, Lidl, Netto, Parfümerie Douglas and Galeria Kaufhof have decided for GK/Retail."
