PAC Study: Omni-Channel connection has top priority

More than 100 retailers with a minimum of two distribution channels (on of it digital) attended the study “Omni-Channel Commerce in Germany”. The study revealed that the great majority of retailers of different sizes considered the connection of stores with the online channel as a strategic topic. However, stores remain the center of all Omni-Channel activities.

Creating a specific Omni-Channel strategy is the main challenge of the top management, as it has to cover all channels and requires the adjustment of numerous business processes. For most of the attendees, the procurement of the appropriate software and hardware has a high investment priority, due to its medium and long term orientation.
