Self-checkout and self-scanning are important services for consumers, but while improving the customer experience on the one hand, they also provide scope for fraud. Fraud detection systems based on static rules are often not flexible enough to work across several branches. The self-learning fraud-detection system GK AIR Fraud Detection calculates the probability of fraud and incorporates feedback (rescan successful or not) into future decisions. The AI application thus detects a high number of fraud cases, increases customer acceptance by reducing the number of unnecessary rescans and can be deployed in several stores.
