Schöneck, Germany – The Fressnapf Group, Europe's leading supplier of pet supplies with over 2,750 stores in 15 European countries, is taking the next step in its digital transformation: Under an agreement signed in August, the company will migrate its store services to the cloud-based retail platform GK CLOUD4RETAIL. This will enable Fressnapf to expand its technological foundation for seamless omnichannel customer engagement and a future-proof retail architecture.

Fressnapf has been using GK Software's store solution since 2013. The renewal and expansion of the partnership now marks the transition to a fully cloud-native solution that offers more potential for making store processes more flexible, enables a comprehensive omnichannel strategy, and allows for even faster adjustments.

Focus on digitization of all store services

Fressnapf is increasingly focusing on all services for customers and employees in store operations and wants to rethink all digital touchpoints in its stores – from POS, store merchandise management, and mobile consulting to the customer experience and the user experience of employees. To achieve this, Fressnapf needs a strong, reliable, and experienced partner. In concept workshops with GK, requirements for the new store system were defined in order to provide the best possible support for stores and employees. With a system that is flexibly expandable and can integrate additional GK services as well as external solutions through app enablement.
