Database Administrator (Pilsen)

What can you expect?

  • Regular monitoring of database health and ongoing optimization to ensure systems run fast, stable, and reliably.
  • Analyzing and resolving issues – whether potential risks or real-time situations that require an immediate response.
  • Participation in On-Call Support, especially during demanding periods such as Black Friday, new store openings, or major product updates.
  • Preparation, execution, and follow-up control of complex scripts, where you’ll fully apply your technical expertise.
  • Active involvement in data migration projects – from planning through execution to final validation.
  • Collaboration with colleagues from different teams across the company and across countries.
  • If you enjoy traveling, business trips are a natural part of the role – including destinations within Europe and beyond.

What do we expect of you?

  • You have education or hands-on experience in IT and understand how database systems work in real-world operations.
  • Practical experience with SAP HANA, MS SQL, and Oracle is a big plus (you don’t need to know everything in depth – the ability to navigate and learn is what matters).
  • You are familiar with virtualization and cloud solutions and understand their role in modern infrastructure.
  • You think logically and analytically, can identify root causes, and design effective solutions.
  • You’re able to take ownership of assigned systems and decisions that impact operations.
  • Daily communication in English is a natural part of your work – both with technical colleagues and other teams.
  • You’re reliable, detail-oriented, and able to perform well even in situations that require quick reactions (e.g. during On-Call Support).
  • Willingness to travel and participate in international collaboration is a strong advantage.
